This engine room brace bar, crafted from Nippon Steel’s specially designed titanium, is the result of meticulous design and supervision by our staff at the muffler factory. These experts, who have developed numerous products at M Company—a tuning parts manufacturer affiliated with STTI manufacturers—and possess extensive knowledge of tuning Honda cars, have utilized their expertise in mufflers and titanium industrial products to create this component.

To enhance its function as a tower bar, the left and right struts are connected in a straight line. A thick plate of heat-resistant titanium alloy is employed to improve the mounting rigidity of the suspension upper mount. Instead of using screws to attach the bracket and bar, we opted for welding a box-shaped bracket, creating a design specifically for the genuine FL5 and maximizing the tensile strength of the titanium material.

The upper mount bracket is specially designed and manufactured, with two custom-designed and bent titanium pipes. The titanium pipe and plate are then expertly welded together. Welding such a length without warping and maintaining the product’s strength is extremely challenging, but our skilled craftsmen ensure it is done to perfection.

Why is the FL5 not equipped with a tower bar a on a stock car?

We have considered the reason and completed this engine room brace bar not aiming to simply increase the rigidity of the body, but to reduce the slight vibration of the vehicle and improve the steering feeling, while minimizing the weight of the product itself and eliminating any disadvantages to the maximum extent.

In order to maximize its role as a tower bar, it is connected in a straight line between the left and right struts.

To improve the rigidity of the suspension upper mount, a thick plate of heat-resistant titanium alloy is used.

The bracket and bar sections are not screwed together, but rather a box-shaped bracket is welded together to create a single, genuine FL5-specific design, a design that maximizes the tensile strength of the titanium material.

The upper mount bracket was also exclusively designed and manufactured, two titanium pipes were also exclusively designed and bent, and finally the titanium pipes and titanium plates were welded together. It is extremely difficult to weld this length to maintain the strength of the product without warping it, but skilled craftsmen have produced this product.
