The K20C engine delivers an impressive 320PS from just 2.0L of displacement, with boost pressures exceeding 150kPa. However, this high output places a heavy load on the stock intercooler system. Under demanding conditions, intake air temperatures can climb to nearly 90°C, leading to reduced performance and efficiency.

The stock intercooler also features a restrictive piping layout with sharp bends that disrupt airflow and cause boost pressure loss.

To address these issues, HKS has engineered a high-performance intercooler upgrade that enhances cooling capacity, airflow efficiency, and boost pressure retention.

  A newly designed 100mm-wide core offers approximately 200% the core volume of the stock unit, delivering a dramatic increase in cooling performance under high boost.

• Optimized Core Size

• HKS Core: 695mm × 178mm × 100mm

• Stock Core: 680mm × 143mm × 64mm
  The wider and thicker core effectively dissipates heat, ensuring consistent performance even under extreme driving conditions.

• Integrated Tank & Pipe Design
  The inlet-side tank and piping are integrated into a single unit, reducing turbulence and resistance. This streamlined design ensures smoother airflow, minimizes pressure loss, and improves throttle response.

• Vehicle-Specific Fitment
  Designed for a seamless fit with the K20C engine bay. Minor modifications to the fan shroud and adjacent rubber components may be required where they contact the core.
