The HKS HIPERMAX S is the latest evolution of HKS suspension technology, developed specifically for the Honda Civic Type R FL5. Designed to deliver a new dimension of driving comfort, the HIPERMAX S combines everyday ride quality with the precision and control expected from a performance suspension system.
Unlike traditional coilovers that focus purely on lowering the vehicle, the HIPERMAX S has been engineered to improve stability, steering response, and driver confidence while maintaining exceptional comfort for daily driving. Whether you're tackling winding roads, attending track days, or simply enjoying your FL5 on the street, the HIPERMAX S offers a refined and balanced driving experience.
Featuring 30-way adjustable damping front and rear, the suspension can be tailored to suit your driving style and road conditions. Front pillow-ball upper mounts improve steering feel and feedback, while the rear rubber upper mounts help minimise unwanted noise and vibration. HKS has also incorporated helper springs and vehicle-specific tuning to maximise suspension performance throughout the full range of travel.
This kit includes HKS Suspension Error Cancelers, ensuring compatibility with the FL5's electronic suspension monitoring system without triggering warning lights.
The recommended HKS setup lowers the vehicle approximately 31mm at the front and 22mm at the rear, creating a more aggressive stance while maintaining practical usability for street driving. Ride height can be further adjusted to suit individual preferences.
Developed and tested by HKS using the FL5 platform, the HIPERMAX S delivers sharper handling, improved body control, and greater confidence behind the wheel without compromising ride comfort.
