The HKS HIPERMAX Touring is a height-adjustable suspension system developed specifically for the Honda Civic Type R FL5, designed to achieve a lower ride height while retaining the factory electronically controlled adaptive dampers.

Unlike a conventional coilover system that replaces the factory dampers, the HIPERMAX Touring works with the OEM suspension, allowing the FL5 to retain its factory drive mode selection and electronically controlled damping functionality.

The system features adjustable ride height at both the front and rear, with three front height settings using supplied spacers and screw-type adjustment at the rear. HKS testing achieved approximately a 19mm drop from factory ride height, with front adjustment ranging from approximately 13mm to 25mm lower than stock.

Camber-adjustable ball-joint front upper mounts provide additional flexibility for wheel and tyre fitment while allowing the front suspension geometry to be fine-tuned.

Factory Adaptive Suspension Retained

The HIPERMAX Touring is designed to utilise the FL5's original electronically controlled dampers rather than replacing them. This allows the factory adaptive suspension and drive mode selection to continue operating as intended while providing a lower, more purposeful stance.

The adjustable front upper mounts also allow camber to be fine-tuned, providing additional flexibility when running wider wheels and tyres or creating a more performance-focused alignment.

Designed with street use in mind, the HIPERMAX Touring provides FL5 owners with a balance of lowered styling, suspension adjustability and everyday comfort without sacrificing the functionality of the factory adaptive suspension system.
