HKS Oil Cooler Kit for K20C Engine – FL5 Civic Type R
The K20C engine delivers an impressive 320ps from its 2.0L displacement, necessitating a water-cooled oil cooler to maintain stable performance under high-output conditions. However, during extended circuit driving, both oil and coolant temperatures can climb rapidly due to insufficient heat dissipation, potentially triggering fail-safe mode.
The HKS Air-Cooled Oil Cooler Kit addresses this issue by offering superior heat exchange efficiency—effectively reducing not only oil temperature, but also coolant temperature. This kit includes a specially designed aluminum air guide to direct airflow for optimal cooling performance.

High-Efficiency Core: Newly developed 48mm-wide, 9-layer oil cooler core paired with a custom air duct to maximize cooling performance. Strategically mounted inside the inner fender.

Noise Reduction: Stainless mesh oil lines can transmit oil pump pulsation noise into the cabin under high RPM. The HKS kit includes a dedicated insulator to significantly reduce this noise.

Thermostatic Control: Built-in thermostat within the attachment helps prevent overcooling of the engine oil during normal driving conditions.

Minimal Vehicle Modification: Installation requires only limited vehicle adjustments—specifically trimming of the back of the front bumper, inner fender, and brake duct.
