Mugen Rear Carbon Diffuser (GROUP B) – Honda Civic Type R FL5
The Mugen Rear Carbon Diffuser (GROUP B) is engineered to optimise underbody airflow and improve the high-speed stability of the Honda Civic Type R FL5. Developed using detailed aerodynamic analysis, its precisely shaped channels manage the air exiting beneath the vehicle to generate additional rear downforce, improving balance and control.
A built-in upper ventilation opening allows high-pressure air trapped inside the rear bumper to escape cleanly toward the back of the car. This reduces turbulence, lowers drag, and contributes to smoother overall airflow.
Made from lightweight and rigid CFRP (carbon fibre reinforced plastic), the diffuser provides durability while reducing weight compared to the factory part. Sitting around 22 mm lower than the OEM rear under spoiler, it gives the FL5 a more assertive rear profile with genuine aerodynamic benefit.
This diffuser is designed exclusively for use with the Mugen sports exhaust system to ensure precise fitment and maximum airflow efficiency.
