The factory plastic coolant expansion tank on the Civic Type R is prone to weakening and failure over time due to repeated heat and pressure cycles. PRL’s Baffled Coolant Expansion Tank is the ultimate upgrade, engineered from 3mm 6061 aluminum for superior strength, reliability, and longevity. Unlike the OEM tank, this robust design withstands higher pressures and extreme temperatures, ensuring years of trouble-free use.

Capacity is more than doubled, increasing from the stock .58 quarts (.55 liters) to 1.32 quarts (1.25 liters). This added volume allows for greater heat dissipation, improving cooling efficiency and safeguarding your engine under spirited driving or track use. Internal baffling prevents sloshing and cavitation, maintaining a consistent flow of coolant even in demanding conditions. Finished in a striking red or black anodizing with laser-engraved PRL logos, this expansion tank is as stylish as it is functional.
