Spoon Sports Aluminium Radiator – Honda Civic Type R FL5
The factory radiator on the Civic Type R FL5 is designed for street use but struggles to manage heat during extended track sessions or spirited driving with the 2.0L turbocharged engine. Spoon Sports developed their aluminium radiator to provide superior cooling efficiency and durability, ensuring stable performance under demanding conditions.
By increasing the core thickness and optimizing fin shape, the Spoon aluminium radiator delivers improved heat dissipation without excessively restricting airflow. Constructed entirely from high-quality aluminium, it offers reduced weight compared to OEM while resisting heat-soak far more effectively.
This radiator is a direct-fit replacement that allows the use of the stock fan shroud and condenser, making installation straightforward. An additional 1/8PT bung is included for sensor installation, ideal for those running aftermarket gauges or monitoring systems.
