During aggressive driving, the factory oil pan allows engine oil to move away from the pickup under heavy lateral loads, which can result in a momentary loss of oil pressure. Even a brief drop in oil pressure can lead to accelerated engine wear or catastrophic engine failure. The Spoon Sports Baffled Oil Pan incorporates strategically designed internal baffles that control oil movement, helping maintain a consistent oil supply to the engine throughout demanding track sessions.
