Spoon Sports Carbon Air Duct – Honda Civic Type R FK8
For an engine to perform at its best, it needs a steady supply of cool, dense air. The Spoon Sports Carbon Air Duct was developed to maximize airflow efficiency and deliver proven gains on both street and track. Tested extensively on Spoon’s race cars, including a class-winning run at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, the duct improves torque delivery across the rev range, enhances throttle response, and contributes to fuel efficiency under demanding conditions.
The system consists of two main components: an air scoop mounted inside the front grille to draw in cooler air directly from the front of the car, and an air duct plate inside the engine bay that channels this clean airflow to the air cleaner box. This design avoids heat-soaked air from the radiator, especially at lower speeds, while maintaining the OEM heat insulation structure for consistent and stable intake temperatures.
