Spoon Sports Gusset Plate (Late Type) – Honda S2000 AP1/AP2
The Spoon Sports Gusset Plate (Late Type) is designed to reinforce a known weak point in the S2000’s chassis the upper arm mounting sections. When using wide or high-grip S-tires, these mounting points can flex, reducing maneuverability and, in severe cases, risking weld separation at the chassis. Even factory late-model cars received a basic reinforcement plate, but its rigidity is insufficient for performance driving.
Spoon’s gusset plate connects the left and right upper arm mounting points into a rigid frame structure, significantly increasing strength and stability. Made from high-tensile steel normally reserved for key chassis components, this reinforcement enhances handling precision and durability under demanding street and track conditions.
